By 2005, we had become one of the leading contractors among the local road construction firms as our performance was well recognized by all stakeholders. As a result of this sterling performance, we were the first company to win a DFID award with cash value of US$103,000.00. The award was in recognition of the best performing contractor in the Northern Region and its environs under the DFID funded projects.
Mawums Limited has come a long way since it entered into the road construction sector.
We have handed over a lot of completed road projects to the various road agencies of the Ministry of Roads and Highways, in various regions across the country.
We have also executed contracts under various funding agencies that include:

Continuous growth in the construction sector and challenges in getting some of its core raw materials motivated the company to venture into quarry operations to feed the construction unit and also the general public.
Mawums Limited currently has two quarries which are strategically located at Shai Hills in the Greater Accra Region and Arigu in the Northern Region of Ghana
Mawums Limited’s vast experience in the construction, quarry and mining related works, coupled with its team of expertise including mainly, professional engineers with technical competence to venture also into the Coastal Protection Sector.
We have completed works and handed over Nkontonpo Coastal Protection Works. Works on Amaful Kumah Coastal Protection that has recently been awarded has commence. Both projects are located in the Western Region of Ghana.
Mawums Limited also offer engineering consultancy services covering but not limited to the following areas:
o Real estate development and preparation of site plans and layouts
o Investment advice on quarry operations, real estate and civil works among others
o The design and construction of roads, bridges, dams, sea defense and irrigation systems
